Welcome! I am so glad to be here with you.

Suffering is a part of the human experience, but you were never meant to be alone in your struggles.
Your circumstances do not define you, no matter how much shame or difficulty you have experienced.
Therapy is not the solution to all problems, but it can provide you with a safe space to experience
warmth, growth, and understanding. My goal as a therapist is to sit well with my clients and empower
them to grow in self-awareness and walk in the ways of healing.

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina (LCMHCA #A21226). Over
the past two years, I have worked as a counselor serving adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples. I
have experience working with individuals and couples with intellectual disabilities, ASD, anxiety, ADHD,
OCD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, mood disturbances/disorders, adjustment
disorders, childhood trauma, relationship troubles, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

I offer individual and couples counseling to adolescents, young adults, and adults with a wide variety of
mental health diagnoses. My areas of expertise include adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety,
anger, stress-related disorders, relationships, and Christian counseling. I also provide pre-marital
counseling services and work with couples struggling with relationship conflicts and communication.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, the outdoors, photography, cooking, traveling,
and watching good movies.

Education

I received my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. I
have a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in psychology with a cognate in counseling. I
am a Certified SYMBIS facilitator (Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts) and I have completed Gottman
Level I training.

My Approach

I believe that all people are worthy of love, empathy, and understanding, and this belief colors my
therapeutic approach. My theoretical orientation is eclectic but primarily rooted in person-centered
therapy. I believe clients have within themselves the ability to grow in self-understanding and alter their
self-concepts, attitudes, and behaviors to make lasting positive changes. I also take a psychodynamic
approach and integrate elements of attachment theory, reality therapy, and Christian spirituality in

counseling. I utilize methods within acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), which is derived from
cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). ACT empowers clients to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with
their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to
certain situations and should not prevent them from moving forward. With this understanding, clients
begin to accept their hardships and commit to making necessary changes in their behavior. When
working with couples, I explore relationship patterns with my clients to understand cycles of
dysfunction, conflict, tension, and health.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I would be honored to work with you!
