Melody Carr is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina (#12960) and a registered Professional Counselor Telehealth Provider in South Carolina (#100) and Florida. She provides professional, compassionate counseling for teens (12+), adults seeking support with anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. Melody offers in-person therapy in North Carolina and convenient online therapy for clients in South Carolina and Florida.

Education and Experience

Melody earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston and her Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Augusta State University. With over 20 years of experience in helping professions, she brings a depth of clinical knowledge and a warm, relational approach to therapy.

Her background includes work in campus ministry, corporate human resources, community mental health, adoption services, anti-trafficking nonprofit work, and public education as a high school counselor. These experiences shape her holistic and compassionate approach to counseling.

  • Strengths-Based Counseling
  • Brainspotting (Phase 1 Certified)
  • Prepare-Enrich Certification for Couples Counseling

For clients who desire it, Melody also offers Christian counseling and faith integration as part of the therapeutic process.

Teen Counseling and Support for High-Achieving Women

Melody has a strong passion for working with teens (ages 12+) and high-performing women who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or pressured to “hold it all together.” She creates a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, build confidence, and develop healthier patterns.
