Internship Overview

At SureHope Counseling & Training Center the training of future Christian counselors is something that is a vital mission and goal.  We thank you for your interest in completing your training with us!

Please read the information below to gain a greater understanding of what this training would look like.

 

Length of Internship

We ask interns to commit to remaining with SureHope for at least 9 months to 1 year. This typically means interns will complete at least two rotations/semesters of internship with us.  It is also possible for a student to complete their practicum with us.

Availability and Scheduling

Interns will have a set schedule with counseling and supervision at the beginning of the training period which will be discussed with their supervisor.  Preference will be given to students that can offer evening hours for counseling. Interns also need to attend triadic supervision weekly. This may be done in person or virtually, depending on the schedules of the intern and supervisor.

Clinical Requirements

In triadic supervision, interns will submit videos for review and complete case presentations.

Administrative Requirements

Interns will need to complete administrative work.   This would include progress notes, maintaining client info/documentation, client scheduling, weekly client logs, and weekly consultation forms for supervision.
