Melody is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina (#12960) and registered as a Professional Counselor Telehealth Provider in South Carolina (#100). She graduated with a degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston in 2000, and holds a Masters degree in Counselor Education from Augusta State University completed in 2011.
Melody has worked in a variety of settings that inform her passion for helping others grow in emotional and spiritual health. She has worked in campus ministry, corporate human resources, community mental health, adoption agencies, a non-profit trafficking ministry, and most recently public schools as a high school counselor. Melody enjoys working with teens ages 12 and up, adults and couples who are experiencing anxiety and/or depression, life transitions, grief, stress and burnout, family-of-origin work, divorce and relational conflict. She is currently participating in a cohort training for Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level 1 with the Allender Center. She is Prepare-Enrich certified and holds a certificate in Brainspotting phase 1.
Melody believes that each of us are created for wholeness and unique beauty. We do not need to be defined by the unpleasant things we’ve experienced, and we can get unstuck by growing through the hard places into more fully alive and connected versions of ourselves.
In her free time, Melody enjoys interior design, reading, being outdoors and laughing with her husband and four school-age children.
