Hello! I’m Pamela Adkins, a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate. I consider it a privilege to help adults, adolescents, and couples better manage the difficulties life brings, whether it be anxiety, depression, relational or situational occurrences.  Often, I find that people think way too little of themselves and have a distorted view of what God thinks and says about them. Unfortunately, life experiences can diminish our self-worth. Exploring all these things in counseling and making space to hold the good and the “not so good” can bring healing and wholeness.

About Me

I received my undergraduate degree in Christian Education at Lenoir-Rhyne University with a minor in Business. I earned a masters diploma in biblical counseling from Light University Online. I also completed a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. The therapeutic modalities that I align most closely with include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Integrating the word of God is something I am clinically trained to do if you so choose to have this in our time together.

I also enjoy working with people recovering from addiction and trauma. Each persons’ experience is different, and I believe in listening and doing my best to understand each person’s unique story. I take a wholistic approach, treating the mind, body, and spirit.
