Compassionate, Faith-Informed Counseling for Healing and Growth
Hello, my name is Ken Grano, and I am a Certified Fee-Based Pastoral Counselor with extensive training in clinical pastoral care, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and evidence-informed counseling approaches. I have served individuals in hospital, hospice, private practice, and group practice settings, helping clients navigate grief and loss, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, spiritual concerns, and major life transitions.
My counseling approach is compassionate, integrative, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. I combine depth-oriented exploration with practical strategies that foster insight, healing, resilience, and lasting change.
Sexual Addiction Recovery
I have pursued specialized training in sexual addiction recovery and hold certifications as a Certified Clinical Sex Addiction Specialist (CCSAS), Certified Pastoral Sex Addiction Specialist (CPSAS), and Inner Child Recovery Specialist.
I work with individuals struggling with compulsive sexual behaviors, pornography addiction, shame, relationship difficulties, and the underlying emotional wounds that often contribute to addictive patterns. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can pursue meaningful recovery, healthier relationships, and personal transformation.
Grief Counseling and Loss
Grief touches every aspect of life—emotional, relational, and spiritual. I provide support for individuals facing the death of a loved one, caregiver stress, major life transitions, unresolved grief, and other significant losses.
Drawing on my experience as a chaplain and pastoral counselor, I help clients process their experiences, find meaning amid suffering, and move toward healing and hope.
Anxiety, Depression, and Emotional Wellness
Many people experience anxiety, depression, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of feeling stuck. I help clients develop greater self-awareness, identify unhealthy patterns, and build practical skills for navigating life’s challenges.
My work incorporates evidence-informed approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), to support emotional growth and resilience.
Christian Counseling, Meaning, and Personal Growth
For those who desire it, I offer counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith with emotional and psychological care. I work with individuals seeking support for life’s challenges while exploring questions of purpose, identity, relationships, grief, and spiritual growth.
Influenced by Logotherapy and meaning-centered counseling, I believe every person has the capacity to discover hope, purpose, and meaning—even in seasons of suffering and uncertainty. I am also pursuing advanced training through The Care Institute’s Clinical Soul Care program, further deepening my ability to integrate spiritual formation, emotional healing, and psychological insight within the counseling relationship.
A Personalized and Integrative Approach
Whether you are facing grief, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship struggles, or spiritual concerns, counseling should reflect your unique circumstances and goals. My commitment is to provide a compassionate, supportive environment where healing and growth can occur.
By God’s grace, I seek to help clients find relief from emotional pain, strengthen relationships, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a more meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling life.
